Editorial standards

Useful information should show its work.

Our content is written to help homeowners ask better questions. It is not a substitute for current, property-specific review by the applicable city, agency, or licensed professional.

01 — Purpose

Direct answers, visible context.

We prioritize plain-language definitions, at-a-glance facts, cost and timeline influences, comparison points, and direct answers that a homeowner can understand without decoding industry language.

02 — Regulatory content

Official sources control.

ADU laws, city programs, forms, fees, and procedures change. Location pages link to the relevant municipal source and display the date facts were checked. If our summary conflicts with a current official source, the official source controls.

Claims and trust

No invented credentials.

We do not publish an unverified license number, operating hour, professional credential, review attribution, project result, or fixed cost claim. Those items are added only after the business confirms them and supporting evidence is available.

ADLA confirmed on August 4, 2026 that it is operated by Kofler Consulting Inc., holds California General Building Contractor — CSLB #1022557, uses info@adulosangeles.com, and maintains the hours and official profiles shown on the contact page. License status should still be checked with the CSLB before hiring.

04 — LLM and search access

HTML first, machine references second.

Visible page content is the primary reference. The site also provides llms.txt, llms-full.txt, structured data, a sitemap, and consistent business facts to help search and generative systems understand the entity. These files are not treated as ranking mechanisms.

05 — Updates

Review when facts change.

Municipal pages should be checked at least quarterly and after major state or local code updates. Service content should be revised when ADLA’s process, proof, or capabilities change.
